The range of hardware for door structures is extremely wide. From the whole variety, the closer for interior doors should be distinguished, which is becoming more and more popular day by day. There are such varieties:
upper;
floor;
frame;
hidden.
In residential premises, the first mentioned type of mechanism is most widespread. The fact is that the decision to use the second or third variety must be made even before the installation of the door structure begins. And this is not always convenient. Or is it too lazy to contact.
Structure and principle of operation of the mechanism
The described type of device is a spring placed in a metal cavity. In turn, the metal cavity is a case of certain sizes filled with special oil.
The principle of work of the closer is as follows. The effort that a person is attached when opening the door leaf is transmitted to the built -in spring. The transfer of effort occurs through the lever, its axis and piston. As a result, the force is compressed by the spring, as a result of which the oil moves from one part of the case to the opposite (where, in fact, the spring is placed). After the canvas is released, the reverse process takes place. The spring, unclenching, affects the piston. The oil simply flows in the opposite direction.
The oil inside the mechanism moves not just like that, but through special hydraulic channels that are connected to the system by means of regulatory screws. Using these screws, you can increase or decrease the capacity of the channels. That is, change the speed of the opening and closing of the door leaf.
The correct location of the mechanism
Typically, closers are placed in the upper part of the sash or box. Their exact location directly depends on the direction in which the opening of the canvas occurs. In this case, the mechanism that is installed can have both lever and sliding thrust.
If there is a need to ensure the opening of the canvas both inside and out, then it is better to use the floor mechanism. Its main advantage is invisibility, since such devices under the doors are mounted. However, such needs regarding opening and closing are more characteristic of shopping and entertainment centers or public buildings, and not for residential apartments.
